EU jobs accessible to Swiss nationals

Some positions in the EU administration can also be filled by Swiss nationals.

One possibility is if the given EU agency or administrative unit accepts applications from non-EU citizens. For Switzerland, this concerns particular agencies or programmes to which it is associated, such as the European Environment Agency (EEA) and the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex). Some EU internship programmes also consider applications from non-EU citizens. These posts are not filled by the Swiss Federal Administration, but directly by the respective EU agency or administrative unit.

Another possibility is for secondment to a position in the EU administration that is reserved for representatives of the Swiss authorities. These positions can be filled by both internal and external candidates and are usually advertised on the Federal Administration's website.
